Biomedical Electronics Field Technician

Responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of anesthesia and respiratory equipment and other related instrumentation and equipment. Most work will be completed on-site at assigned hospitals and surgery centers. Some work in the Biomedical Technical Service Laboratory should be expected. Complete Preventive Maintenance Service on assigned medical devices and instruments. Perform troubleshooting and repair of electronic devices and monitoring systems as well as pneumatic and mechanical instruments. Follow inventory control and administrative procedures to insure completeness of all documentation. Perform Quality Control, Calibration Verification and testing of all instruments and repair as assigned.

Skills/Requirements:
Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Anesthesia & Respiratory equipment required. Med Gas experience a plus. Must be self motivated and directed, with excellent troubleshooting, customer service, organizational and communication skills. Must work well with a variety of personalities. Dependable transportation. Valid, clean driver’s license. Automobile insurance.
